1 hour of movie stretched into 2
The final 45 minutes is really the movie and for some reason it takes an hour and a half to get to that point. I went into this film with a general knowledge of what the plot would be, so I was shocked at just how long it took to get the ball rolling.
The final act of the movie is quite good, which is why it's the only part that people talk about today. I just can't in good conscience give it a score any higher due to how slow the first half is. I get why people love this movie but it's just not for me.
Synopsis: George Bailey has so many problems he is thinking about ending it all - and it's Christmas! As the angels discuss George, we see his life in flashback. As George is about to jump from a bridge, he ends up rescuing his guardian angel, Clarence - who then shows George what his town would have looked like if it hadn't been for all his good deeds over the years.
