These words describe Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles...
Sleepy, crawly, lazy, degenerative, retarded, plot less & out of ideas and still hanging around like poop on hot day. It is an absolute disgrace to any Terminator franchise. Even when watched using the FF->> button on the remote, it was still unbearable. My summary? The plane has crashed into the goddamn mountain!
"The world needs us to save it! We need to boost our morale... to be more lively, happy, active, alert, logical and sober" NOOOOOOOPE! Bugger that philosophical bull****, we're just gonna be depressed, upset, and spraying our mood-swing hormones all over the damn screen. The real Sarah Connor wouldn't care to urinate on this one if she was on fire.
Add more money or take two megatons of cocaine, I don't care, just make it better or DE-Worminate it!

This simply is the worst TV show I have ever seen. I never write reviews on movies on TV shows I have seen but this is so bad I felt I just had too.
First of all, the first two movies were so ground breaking in terms of story telling and visual effects and this show is just an insult to both. I can't believe that a TV show like this can be made it goes against everything the first two movies have achieved.
Basically this is John Conner in high school. A female terminator, sorry a teenage terminator sent back to protect him. What is this? It seems the show is trying to tell the story of the resistance that Sarah and John are trying to build but John does this in his spare time after school and his homework is done - give me a break. I seriously laughed at some of the scenes whilst watching this, just at the stupidity of it and the creators expect us to buy this and take it seriously.
It also seems that there is some sort of history between the terminator and John, almost as if they have some sort of future love story. This is ridiculous.
There is not enough room here to type all of the things that are bad with it so I will post just one more.
The second episode shows The female terminator doing her make-up and over hearing someone crying, she looks curiously and checks it out. --This must be a primary objective for her.
Bottom line, this is the worst show ever.

This show continued to get worse as the minutes rolled on. I was hoping for something entertaining knowing that the special effects budget for a television show are usually limited and maybe just maybe the producers would come up with a creative way to get around those limitations.
I was let down. Not only do the effects look bad, there are a huge amount of them littered all over the show. I did learn that you can use a love seat/sofa as a bullet proof barrier though.
So far this series has totally canceled out the logic that the first two films functioned on and established (even though they try to incorporate elements from them) and by doing that alone this series should be *cough* terminated. This show is such a mess I'm not sure i can figure out where to begin. So far they've established that a terminator won't kill one of its main targets but will simply knock them out so they can escape later on very James Bondish...not to mention the whole time travel issue...
I'd rather have another Terminator film over a poorly written & produced weekly television series that captures none of the excitement or feeling from the films and instead offers up more WB Network style bilge. Give me ILM special effects and better story lines over some chick who reminds me nothing of the tough as nails Sarah conner from the original movies who was a tad crazy...instead we get the Prozac version of her with a soft spoken voice that makes 'pancakes' and occasionally whips out a gun and kicks butt.
I'm sure James Cameron is enjoying the fat check he'll be getting from this joke of a show. I hope he'll realize what he's done one day and come back to clean up this horrible mess his series is starting to become.

The acting in this show is terrible. Sara looks about 3 years older than her son, and the only part worth watching is Summer Glau's constant nudity. The son is so whiny and weak, he will never live up to the true John Connor experience. Sara couldn't act her way out of a wet paper bag. Plus, their timing is totally off. For example, last night during one of Sara's defensive conspiracy rants, she should have exploded about 3 seconds sooner. I get the feeling this will last all of 1/2 a season. Screw you, Sara Connor Chronicles for ruining T2's legacy. It'd be awesome is Sara was killed and John could go about his own life. Or maybe cast someone else besides Lena Headey to play Sara. So much potential wasted right now.

So far I have seen 4 episodes due to a friend loaning me his copy. I know that only 2 or 3 episodes have been shown so far on TV so I won't go into details but rather explain generally why I don't like this series.
I want to start off by saying that I am a BIG fan of all three Terminator movies. I remember when I was young and I saw Terminator 1, and my reaction was like, "wow!" In my opinion, Terminator 1 is a seminal movie in the science fiction genre.
When I heard that there would be a TV series on the Terminator movie, I was really excited to see it. Once I got the copies and saw it one by one, I was really disappointed and now see why James Cameron did not participate in this TV series.
My first criticism is the story itself. The story eliminates Terminator 3. In fact, Terminator 3 story never happened in this timeline and instead, Sarah and John Connor is shown in the aftermath after Terminator 2. Sarah and John thinks "end of the world" scenario is now over but that changes when a terminator tries to kill John and another terminator, Cameron, is sent by future John to protect Sarah and John. Cameron tells Sarah and John that they must go back in time to stop Skynet....again.
Sarah Conner in Terminator 2 was portrayed as mentally and physically tough woman whose sole purpose was to train and safeguard her son to be the "great leader" of mankind. Watching Linda Hamilton in Terminator 2, I had no doubt this woman can beat the hell out of people to protect her son. The Sarah Connor here seems less deliberate and not physically tough. Maybe it is the actress that was chosen to play Sarah Connor but I just did not feel the same way for this actress as oppose to Linda Hamilton. I get the feeling that they want Sarah Connor to be more reflective and also show the day to day grind on trying to raise her son. Don't get me wrong, Lena Headey who plays Sarah Connor here, seems like a good actress but she is no Linda Hamilton. That woman in Terminator 2, as she is doing pullups and pushups and beating those hospital orderlies like a martial arts expert---you know she can open up some serious hurt on anybody.
Second, John Connor in this series WHINES a great deal. He is unhappy that he has to stay home for his own protection, and so instead, goes out and gets into situations where he gets everyone into jeopardy. In terms of acting ability, Thomas Dekker who plays John, is fine but his character is really annoying.
Third, Cameron seems to be a permanent character on this series. While I like her character but I do not want her to be a permanent part of the show. The way the story seems to be going, I think Cameron may become a love interest of John Connor as well as their protector, although the story seems to suggest Cameron has secrets that she is not telling Sarah and John.
Fourth, Sarah and John are wanted by the FBI and is being pursued by an overzealous FBI agent named James Ellison. I get the feeling that the James Ellison character is going to be like Scully in the X-Files. Scully had all these damn evidence that there is extra terrestial life out there but instead chooses to ignore it all until towards the end. James Ellison already has reports of people displaying unbelievable strengths that are going on a rampage but chooses to ignore these findings and instead, pursues Sarah and John Connor.
Fifth and most importantly, the special effects sucks! A show based on the Terminator movie has to have great special effects but from what I have seen so far, it does not impress me one bit.
Who knows? Maybe the story and the character will get better as time goes by but I am not going to invest my time hoping that it will. If later on, a friend tells me the series is great, then I might buy the DVD but for now, I'm not watching it.

seriously , a Terminator without James Cameron is not a Terminator .
you need someone visionary and full of genius to carry something as ground breaking as the Terminator .
i even consider "Terminator 3 : rise of the mediocrity" as a stain in the Terminator legacy .
and now , we have this pathetic excuse of a TV show ! if we take T2 as a landmark , what do you expect when : -the budget and productions values are 100 time smaller "per episode".
-the acting is 100 time duller , especially that joke of a female Terminator that is "Cameron" > bad way to honor James by degrading one of his best accomplishments.
-the stunts are 100 time worse , the T2 stunts are the best and still hold till this day against recent blockbusters .
-the story is great as it is during the first two movies . dragging it along 100 time the length "supposing the show will last a few seasons "which i hope not" will just disserve the original story and would make just a long uninteresting filler.
-tiny female terminators are a very bad idea , they lack that menace factor that is so fundamental for a terminator credibility .
-seriously, for us humans , a 6'9 foot 300 pounds male with six pack will crush a 5,5 foot 120 pounds female in one punch , how that doesn't translate for the Terminator specie , when that Cameron chick is always kicking the big Terminators a$$ ??
all those points make for a mediocre show that wants to cash on the Terminator name .

OK let me start by saying that i am really disappointed.Im a big fan of Terminator 1,2 since the first came out!I was expecting nothing from this TV show and thats what i got!
This show is very bad!So bad in fact i would like to forget it! And i wish it was never made! The first two Terminator movies were incredible but this is pure crap.
In summary, i watched all episode and only the first was OK (6/10) I suggest that you not waste your time with this show and just ignore it. Lets hope they can bring back the magic of the first 2 movies in T4 Even T3 is far better than this bad show. 1/10 and i am generous.

When i first heard about this i had this sinking feeling of dread as i knew being made for TV, it would be low budget. I'm a huge fan of the Terminator movies(the first 2 more-so) and to watch(more like suffer through) the first episode of The Sarah Conner Chronicles made me realize it's just someone using the Terminator name to make the almighty quick dollar. None of the new cast were even in any of the movies. At least they could have attempted to get a cast who were similar in appearance and acted somewhat like the cast of the movies, even A Haunting on Discovery Channel(which is even lower budget) seems to get actors/actresses that are pretty close in resemblance to the real people telling the stories. My biggest problem with this new show is the protecting terminator herself. Now why and when did they start making hot, jailbait, pint-sized terminators? I don't understand how this little teenage robot girl takes on these hulking Arnold looking terminators and whips their butts with ease! I mean come on now, she's made of the same stuff they are but she's half their size which in all reality they'd be crushing her little cyborg body like a tin can. Why did they not send back another T-1000 liquid mercury assassin like in T2, he seemed plenty more efficient of a killer than these bozo bumbling old terminator models that can't seem to hit a target to save their lives in this new series. Like what did they say in the future, "well the T-1000 failed so let's try our luck with the old models again" lol. I'll tell you why..they couldn't afford the special effects of a T-1000 on this project, that's why they just slapped it together with the least amount of money possible and marketed it up to be the biggest thing ever. Iv'e never liked made for TV stuff and this is why, i think i'll stick with TV for sports and my cable & pay channels for movies. Sorry i had to be so harsh on it for those of you who know nothing about the Terminator movies and like this new show but like, wow.
This show is really bad. First off, it diverges from T3's continuity which is just plain bizarre. I think the "Terminator" movies are one of the best movie franchises around. T2 is not quite as good as T1 (that semi-truck really couldn't just mow down that dirt bike?), and T3 isn't quite as good as T2, but none of the movies are terribly far off from one another quality-wise. The plot of T3 was its strongest point. T3 had a nice tight story that explained the hows and whys of the past present and future. Enter network TV - about 500 things have jumped through time; a high school education is in some way important to John Connor; there are now countless villains all with their hands in the Skynet cookie jar; and the whole general attitude of this universe is that the war is already being fought thus circumventing the element of John Connor's isolation. Look, the writing is just awful and I can't say a single good thing about this program except that it's cast with a ton of good looking "actors," but isn't that every network show?

Awful acting and directing. Glaring movie mistakes in the first 5 minutes made it unwatchable for me. In one scene the heroine is in a cop car, cuffed with her hands behind her back, 2 seconds later her hands are magically at the front and she smashes the cop's face, who for some reason is sitting at the back with her. Another second later her hands are magically behind her back again. What director would think that was acceptable? Good thing it was cancelled after a year. Avoid this garbage.
