Could have been a great show. But it's not.

If you wanna watch this you will have to ignore the fact that T1 and T2 ever existed

Great show, if it hadn't been so poorly written

I'm not going to repeat what other wrote. When such a bad show has such a huge positive rating, I can't stop but think that the rating has to be fake! This serial is awful! Very violent, very predictable... Not very original in itself. The thing I dislike most about it is the poor play that the actors put on. I bet they're much better on other shows/movies. It's not their fault they have to portray such badly written characters. I have to admit, I enjoyed some episodes. Especially the first season of the show. But, then, it started being really dull... Nothing out of the ordinary really happens in the serial. The characters don't do extraordinary stuff. Personally, I expected more from a Sci-Fi show, especially from one that bears the "Terminator" name.

T1, T2 & T3 great, Sarah Connor boring

I loved T1 and T2. Iwas nervous when James Cameron wasn't allowed to comeback to do T3 but was surprised when I saw T3. T3 was a thoroughly entertaining film. I don't get the hate for T3 but I assume they're Cameron loyalist who would never be pleased with a Terminator film without him. I actually like T3 quicker pace and shorter running time than T1 and T2. Though T1 and T2 are the superior overall films. T3 still delivers great action scenes though it could have used some more gun play like the first two films.

The first episode of Sarah Connor showed promise. The action scenes were decent and special effects okay. But the show has gone down hill from there. The show has become out right boring and slow. Plus it's screwing with the established Terminator time line in a horrible ways. I can't believe it but I actually hope this show gets canceled soon. I'm shocked at the support this show gets and the hate T3 gets by some. T3 is far, far, far superior to this boring junkie TV show that can't even follow the time line of the terminator movies. Cancel Sar Connor and lets all move on to T4 set in the future.

Underwhelmed

As a huge fan of the movies I thought I'd give this a go, I think what the episodes had in action it lacked in any kind of plot, each episode didn't really go anywhere or achieve anything, couple that with highly unlike able characters.

Summer Glau can stay, as for the rest...

I thought the idea of taking the Terminator franchise onto the small screen was sound. Why not? And even though I was originally appalled by the idea of some female terminator coming back to protect John; post-Serenity, it was clear Summer Glau could pull it off. So, I hopped on for the ride.

But sadly, after a mediocre first season, and a truly dismal beginning to the second season, I have to ask, "is it worth watching this drivel, just to see Summer kick butt?" The answer, sadly, is no.

Confused, cheesy plots (that's the cheese with lots of holes in it), substandard dialogue, unremarkable acting (except for Summer, of course), messy direction, and aside from Summer = Cameron; truly brain-dead casting (the final straw being the introduction of a new female terminator, destined to give Scottish actors a name), reduce the whole thing to a sloppy, unwatchable mess.

And I'm not that fussy when it comes to SciFi; I could put up with most of these flaws, if there was anything going on (the "Previously on The SaraH Conner Chronicles..." section at the start of Season Two takes only a few seconds, and outlines but a handful of Season One plot points, because well, not much actually happened), or if the story in any way resembled the Terminator story, which this show is allegedly based on. Or even had some recognisable characters. The only similarity seems to be the name, and the erm, no that's it, just the name.

I'm getting off now. I feel the need to go watch The Terminator & T2 again; get the taste of this chronicles thing out of my mouth.

ps. My vote (4/10) is for Summer, and the technical crew, who do a fine job. Everyone deserves a slap!
