Super boring. Misleading title (only 2 min of blackjack in the whole movie). Could have expressed the whole thing in about 30 min. The motivations of the characters were either not clear or non existent. In the top 10 worst movies I've seen.

I went through the hassle and effort to create an account to review this film because of how disappointed I was after watching it in its entirety. I NEVER review things. I am a sucker for card movies and was interested when I heard about this film. At the end of the day when you put it all together, the preview, the actors, writer, and the Scorsese name that is tagged to it - the bottom line is that I fell for it. THIS FILM IS GARBAGE. Wish I spent my evening learning to play a new song on my guitar instead...

Has really nothing to do with card counting and it's just boring and idiotic total waste of time I think they released it for free in hopes they'd get good reviews...No, skip this one it's worse than eating 2 large sized big mac meals in 1 sitting.

Boring, pointless, slow burn with no climax. Save your money and your two hours.

This is literally the worse movie I have ever seen. No real plot. Tiffany Haddish is a worse actress than Beyonce. I'm embarrassed for Oscar Isacc. Just skip it!

Witless, lacking creativity and no direction.

It seems like this was a student film project written by a sixth grader and filmed in a week or less with drug money just being laundered for whatever the box office could drum up with a half-decent name and face in Oscar Isaac.

This is probably the worst movie i have ever seen. The tempo is at a crawl, the dialogue is absolutely abysmal. "Kirk with a 'c'" ? WTF. Shocking waste of time, pls save yourself the 2 hours and enjoy a walk in the park, or watch literally ANYTHING else.. even the news would be more entertaining.

I don't know anything about this show when I turn it on. Then about 10 mins into it a weird prison scene happen that I guess was a prison of inmates that were terrorist and guards that terrorize the terrorist. Then about 20 mins left in movie I had to stop it. So I don't know how the ending happen or if the rest of the 20 mins rival The Godfather but there was no way I was going to watch another second of this movie!!! It had to be the worse movie I ever watch!! Didn't have a clue what the movie was about. All I knew if I went to the mall and follow three random people around for 2 hours while they shop and ate ice cream. Then put it on the big screen it would have been 10 times better then this garbage I just wasted my time on.

I've never been so bored in my life! Then theres the camera angles in the prison, makes you nauseous. Normally my spouse has pretty good taste in movies but not tonight.

I'm reading the reviews that are saying how great this movie was. This was one of the worst movies I've seen in years. Had a hard time to keep from dozing off. I could not give this movie a lower score! 0.

I never give reviews but I'm so mad at this move for wasting 1 hour and 51 minutes of my life that I'll never get back. This fails on every conceivable level. You know how some movies are so bad they're good? This is so bad it's beyond good and all they way back to bad again. Boring. Pointless. Bad acting. Green screen for half the movie with no reason. Pointless story. Did I mention pointless?

I'm a big fan of Martin Scorsese and this was an abomination to his name. Horrible plot and directing. Terrible acting from Tiffany Haddish who I used to be a fan of. Literally nothing made sense, waste of time and waste of film and money. None of the possible plot twists you expect and hope for ever happen, none of the prerequisite relationships or character connections you think they may be foreshadowing happen, none of the possible "hints" they make toward where the movie might be going happen, literally just nothing happens! I usually only give a movie about 45 min and if I'm not interested I usually turn it off but I made the exception for this movie because I expected more from Martin Scorsese. I very much wish I had turned it off while I was still ahead and not wasted the rest of my time continuing to watch this pointless and useless disgrace of a movie. This has now been added to one of the top worst movies I've ever seen all the way through (because as I said before, I usually turn a bad movie off after 30-45 minutes if it sucks) so this is one that tricked me to watch until the end.. just so sad because I love this type of genre movie, Rounders is one of my favorites. I had hoped this movie would live up to it but boy was I wrong!

What on earth is hat a drag waiting and waiting for something to happen give it a miss.

Do NOT waste your time with this movie, I already did for you! Can not get that part of my life back. Title false, plot was so boring and the end was terrible. That somes it up.

If you value your precious time , don't give this another thought. Its not worth even just to see if I am right.

I've always wanted to be a filmmaker, but I've mostly had doubts about whether I'd make anything good for audiences and whether studios would accept my scripts. I've had trouble writing stories and creating characters. I'm a perfectionist and want my movies to be good.

After seeing how bad this film is, I KNOW I can make it in the industry now. I know that with streaming and companies like Netflix, HBO Max, and Hulu just wanting to add more original content to their library, Hollywood will just settle for anything. Boring stories, terrible acting, slow pacing ... Hell, I can come up with anything as long as it has a beginning, middle, and end.

A movie is boring when it has a bad script or bad directing, this movie has both, which is why it totally sucks. This is another Hard Eight wannabe but fails miserably, while hard eight is already awfully slow and painful to watch this is much worse, the story is empty and pointless leading to nowhere not even making any sense. Again this is a good example that shows how the critics completely sucks at reviewing movies overrating this garbage at 7 to 8, please don't waste your time on this, if you wanted to see a good movie about poker, watch rounders, 21, maverick or god of gamblers.

This was so boring. The plot was non existent, or at best confused and uninteresting in such a way that I couldn't care less how it ends. My only regret is that I watched a much as I did.

I definitely have to go with the low ratings. I guess there's a story in there somewhere, but I couldn't find it.

Might as well watch a surveilence camera for a couple pf hours....
