I'll preface that all Hallmark films and series require suspending disbelief, although the extent this is required can be quite varied. And Hallmark stuff ain't exactly David Lynch so the need to ignore things doesn't really enhance the overall experience.
With that said, this series requires a massive and continuous amount of suspending disbelief. And at some point it just sort of ruined most of the fun I was otherwise having with this show.
For example, the mom is continually doing insane and seemingly impulsive (or charitably, not thought out) things such as deciding to impersonate a doctor in a hospital to maybe help them get some info for a case. Did I mention that a) they loudly discuss this non-plan in the hospital and b) the daughters love interest is a doctor there?
Just stuff like this. Continuously. For seemingly the entirely of every 43 minute episode.
Some aspects of the scripts are decent, but aforementioned eye rolling situations makes it all feel sloppy and lazy.

What's with the title - The Spencer Sisters, when it's a mom and daughter? I'm a fan of both lead ladies, but whoever came up with the name just makes the show cringeworthy and makes it feel like it's a mid-life crisis show specifically for Lea Thompson. Plus there's zero suspense or thrills that aren't cliched from every other similar TV show, and all attempts at humor are misfires. This show is another example of embarrassing Canadian productions and their lack of originality. Although the pilot was decent, every episode after that is basically boring and unwatchable, and done over many times before, and better.

This is a copycat of the series Garage Sale Mystery with one of my favorite, Lea Thompson. But poor Lea is 60 years old now in this and it shows! No more Amanda Jones from Some Kind of Wonderful!
In Garage Sale Mystery the show runs for one hour and a half and for the Spencer Sisters, only 45 minutes... And no beautiful Lori Loughlin...
Yes it's a canadian production and again supposed to take place in USA... Worth the watch? Only a few episodes. There is no real continuity in the show, those ladies solving a different crime on every episode...
Better watch old Mannix, Hawaii 5-0, Kojak or any 45 (50 then) minutes shows.
