One of the best comedies I've seen in recent times. I was laughing throughout the movie. Using science fiction elements they've turned a usual Tamil gangster story into a spoof of all the familiar tropes without losing the cool action that comes with it. There are definitely plot holes and logic issues with the time-traveling phone but the movie doesn't give you much time to think about it because it just wants to be an out-and-out entertainer more than anything.

SJ Surya is the MVP here. Even though Vishal also did pretty great with his dual roles, SJ Surya's double role as father and son carried the movie. Anyone else would have ruined the whole movie. He deserves all the praise for making all the craziness of the movie work.

The movie is a typical revenge gangster movie with a nice fantasy element of time travel. The major plus of the movie is it's mind-blowing screenplay and SJ Suryah for making us believe in all absurdity of the script.

The plot is just brilliant after the interval bang. The characters are well established and SJ Suryah killed it with his amazing acting. The songs were misplaced, not enjoyable and don't add any value to the narration. The heroine factor works at some places. The make up if Vishal could have been better and looks bland at some places which is the only drawback technically. Definitely a worthy entertainer!!!

This movie is blast , sj Surya beautiful act He nailed it So Rugged character mixed with dark comedy.

SJ Suryah's peak performance makes this whole film an interesting watch.

The best part of the film is that the time travel concept was simplified which makes this film watchable by almost anyone of any age.

The commercial part of the film was nicely made but the biggest drawback was Vishal since his attitude is something that most people dislike since his overacting spoils even the best scenes, that's exactly what happened in this flick as well, his characterizations were too good just like SJ Suryah but he just spoiled it and SJ Suryah scored really well and made this film watchable.

Overall, it's a good one-time watch just for SJ Suryah.

Time travel concept conveyed in such a understandable way. SJ Suryah🔥what a performance......good placement of old songs in fight scenes that makes the movie more and more engaging. Gv Prakash rocks in Bgm and the songs were not up to mark. Vishal in Climax was 💥

The USP of the movie is the scene were the Silk meets Antony and Jackie while that the whole theatre got erepted

The pacing of the film was amazing,the 2 hours will spend quickly...in such a way the editor made the cuts

Redin Kingsley scored well in comedy even with little time frame YG Mahendrens character is unnecessary in the film.

A time travel movie differently portrayed, where the actual person does not move, but can influence the present by calling anyone in the past. Easy to understand if you pay attention in the first half an hour. I was looking forward to SJ Suryah's performance and it was absolute fun to watch him. The dialogue delivery and energy he brought lit up the screen. Many good comedy scenes and references to previous movies was aptly placed. The gun scene at the climax looked repetitive like other gangster movies and felt mediocre, otherwise the movie is a great watch. A good watch can be seen at the theaters.

Mark Anthony is a good comedy movie having the angle of time travel through a telephone. Vishal and S. J Surya have done a fabuluos job with their retro acting style, comic timing and ofcourse the double roles by both of them. Story wise,It's one of a kind movie which will keep your mind engaging with lots of twist and turns in a funny way. Sunil has also done a good job. But specially I appreciate S. J Surya's dedication to play the bad guy in both the roles. Also the movies climax is more interesting which will keep you till the end of the movie with a cliffhanger situation.

Mark Anthony starring Vishal, S. J. Suryah, Selva ragavan,Sunil, Vishu priya, and others is a sci fi plot which is directed by Adhik Ravichandran with a good screen play with some brief introduction about the characters involved who plays a vital role in this plot, initially the plot might confuse you if you miss to see any of the initial scenes in the first half as the story progress the story unfolds with very good humour by S. J. Suryah giving a Challenging tasks to Vishal both in present to corresponding scenes to their past era is good to see, editors task must be appreciated here as story progress with present scenes to instant past scenes which lits full of comedy show in the screen play while S. J Suryah scores the maximum, Sunil has done justice to his role,G. V Prakash's BGM and the use of some selected old songs to the present situation in the movie adds some more value, the surprise entry of Silk was an additional touch, selva ragavan play's a good role in the movie wherein his crucial invention of time travel device is used and miss-used at situations, all the phone calls scenes between present to past by SJ Suryah was very good and entertaining, Worth watching the movie if you forget the logic.
