The first episode was a ten out of ten but then everyghing fell apart. Bad acting, lame characters, a really bad story and horrible script. It was like watching a parody of a crime serie. The story was just so unreal and the credibility was poor. I cannot believe how Night Of can be rated with a average of 8,6 that is ridiculous. I mean Breaking Bad, Sopranos, The Wire, Boardwalk Empire, Deadwood are all series that I would rate 8-10. Dont watch Night Of, waste of time.

This series is for teenagers only. It is so predictable. A worn out storyline done better many times before. The guy in the cab is such a dummy. The HBO shows these days are all the same. Stupid people doing stupid things. No wonder the audience for the Emmy's keeps getting smaller.

This series is trash. my expectation is definitely not met. i was hopeful for final episode but.. trash

I was very excited for this, having seen the reviews and thought I would give it a go. The acting to start with is some of the worst I've seen, the main girl gets on my nerve from the get go and is just annoying to watch. The main guy is portrayed as an intelligent man to start with, however has no back bone at all as anything the girls says he agrees to. Very slow to get going and tried to give it a chance but couldn't physically watch it as the character where actually getting on my nerves. Honestly I would say please do not waste your time watching it as it is some of the worst acting and the most cliché story line I've ever come across.

I can describe it in 3 sentences, about what happens in first 5 episodes. All other 'Reviews' seem all fixed because that's what got me watching this trash. There isn't much of a story but some sympathy documentary for Pakistanis who destroyed their own country and are now having trouble living in a rule-based society. The story is too slow and rehash of everything that we have seen before in thousands of other movies/TV series.

The acting is pathetic except for Turturo. That Riz Ahmed fellow probably got the role because not many actors with Pakistani looks are available. In any case, he acts like a Zombie.

In one word - AVOID!

Just take my word for it as I don't want to invest a second more holding this awful, awful tv-series in mind - DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.

Sorry, a guilty plea doesn't require you to actively make up a story in a court room. You just plead guilty. There's no weird integration where your lawyer harasses you DURING YOUR GUILTY PLEA. Not to mention the adult defendant's parents are not allowed to be involved with his decision of counsel at all. This show gets almost everything wrong. I should've known from the first episode when they detain him and then illegally hold him for hours in the back of the squad car but I guess I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Certainly entertaining but absolutely nothing more than that. Pretty embarrassing for a legal drama to be fair because I've seen better stuff come out of law and order SVU.

Criminal justice. Brit show. Same premise with better actors and amazing music

I've never seen a show have such a perfect pilot only to drop in quality in every dimension each subsequent episode. Watch the pilot and then don't bother with the rest. The writing gets absurdly bad. My wife and I started laughing by episode 4 with some of the twists they were throwing in. It was like an algorithm wrote most the episodes with parameters of add a twist and make a vapid comment about jails in America. I think the cast is fine and everyone hits their marks, and it even looks good. But I'm tired of a pretty gloss with zero interesting content, a pattern HBO has fallen into repeatedly these last few years.

Whiles watching this series, I asked myself whether if the camera crew themselves viewed it after production. If they did they would have found a way to spare the viewer eye straining punishing scenes. The series itself started out great with a magnificent pilot. Then in came the unnecessary zooms and extremely dumb blurring of backgrounds.

I felt the strain on my eye to focus on the screen every time there was a background blur. The blurring was so pointless that you think of what exactly the camera crew had in mind when they were filming. They blurred everything to the extent that even up close conversations were blurred out putting so much strain on your eyes.

It is a shame how a camera crew can ruin such a masterpiece. This series started out great but turned into crap at the beginning of episode two. I had to call it quits when a blur at season one episode two 16:19 gave me a head ache.

All in all this series is great if you do not mind eye straining back ground blurring of scenes or pointless zooming. But if you want to keep your eyesight to continue watching other quality series then I advise you stay away from this garbage until maybe they see the silliness in their camera works.
