First time hearing a ton of my favorite Peter Gabriel songs live. Some are done justice, but some really don't sound as good as they do in their studio versions. He did Biko really well, for example, but then those takes on Games Without Frontiers and No Self-Control just lacked something compared to their original versions. It would be a weird thing to complain about if you went to the actual concert, but watching it as a concert film (without the thrill of seeing an artist in the flesh), I don't mind pointing those things out.
Still, the setlist is very good, even if a couple of songs sound good, rather than great. There's also some attempt to make it all look cinematic, kind of like a milder and less crazy Stop Making Sense. It's also not nearly as successful, but points for trying, maybe? The camerawork is a bit more interesting than your average concert movie, so it's not bad on the eyes while generally being good for the ears.
And it was nice hearing some of these songs in this context. I don't know if Peter Gabriel is underrated, but lots of his albums that are seen as good or very good deserve to be seen as great. So maybe it's a mild underrating. He's great, and this concert film shows his Genesis-less greatness pretty well.

- TriviaThe original version of these concerts PoV (1990) has notably lesser songs and a different sequencing in the track list. The songs that were added for this release are "Family Snapshot", "Intruder", "The Family And The Fishing Net" and "Here Comes The Flood".
