After arriving late for an appointment, a young real estate agent named "Tanya Cova" (Lucie Vondrackova) is fired after her rude customer, "Tracie" (Noemie O'Farrell), files a complaint. Terribly disappointed, she goes home and has to deal with her parents, "Renauld" (Luc-Martial Dagenais) and "Barbara" (Liliana Komorowska), who are Russian government spies in Canada. They are also extremely eccentric and monitor Tanya wherever she goes. So much so that one day she decides to escape from the house and, while running in the park, meets a handsome young stranger who introduces himself as a medical surgeon named "Dr. Steve Press" (Samy Osman). After chatting for only a few minutes, they exchanged business cards, and, to her delight, he kissed her before leaving. She immediately falls in love. What she doesn't realize is that Dr. Steve Press is actually a con man who, after taking most of her money, convinces her best friend, "Britney" (Sophie Gendron), to leave her husband and children to be with him. To make matters worse, Tracie's husband, "Brian Desmaarria Paton" (Landy Cannon), seems to be stalking her. Similarly, a blind date chosen by her parents, named "Igor" (Charles Calhanas), seems to show up at the worst possible times. Now, rather than reveal any more, I will just say that this is one of those movies that might be hard to figure out at times because the pace is so fast and the actors are mostly unknown. It also doesn't help that some of the characters are hard to identify. Beyond that, however, I thought this was an extremely underrated comedy that's really funny once you get the joke. For example, although this film is listed as a Canadian production, there are definite Eastern European connections that make Tanya's and her bumbling Russian parents' actions even more humorous. At least, that is how it seemed to me. Be that as it may, although I will admit the ending could have used a bit of improvement, I still enjoyed this movie and have rated it accordingly.
